Brenda McCullers is...

....an artist,  art educator, and podcaster  who lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She received an A.S. in Interior Design from Indian River State College, a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, and a Masters in Art Education from the University of Florida. Brenda taught VPK-12th grade art for over 20 years. In addition, she facilitated a school art club and a National Junior Art Honor Society Chapter.

As an artist, Brenda has had the opportunity to study under the guidance of A. E. Backus, Brenda Leigh, Anthony Whiting, and other Florida artists. She has worked in oils, acrylics, pastels, collage, and watercolor. Currently, she has been creating visual journals, combining words and colorful images that convey her emotions and feelings. Her award-winning artwork has been displayed in local galleries, businesses and homes.

As an art educator, Brenda has had the opportunity to work with a multiplicity of students and taught a broad array of classes.  Her curriculum includes, art history, drawing, pastels, collage, clay, sculpture, printmaking, wood burning, journaling, purse making, repurposed materials and painting. The love of teaching has motivated Brenda to research the ways in which children understand and create art.

As a podcaster, Brenda hosts and produces, Let's Hear Your Story. In this podcast, you will hear true stories of what God is doing within the lives of different people. Some of their stories are personal journeys to becoming a Christian. Others are stories of how God has shown up in their lives. Episodes can be heard here.  Creating and dropping new episodes of Let's Hear Your Story allows Brenda to share her passion for Christ with others.
