Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life...
Pastor Joby shared this verse from Philippians 2 in the service this weekend. During Covid-19 it seems to be a struggle to not grumble. In fact, it's pretty easy to grumble. I've been hanging out with Ray, the dogs, and the cat for awhile now. No church services at the building. No grocery store, no gym, no Target. No hugs. No handshakes. No high fives. But I'm determined to not grumble. In fact, I have a lot to be thankful for. Smiles and hellos from my neighbors as they walk, bike, skate, and run past the house. And how awesome is technology! I can watch our church service online. I can FaceTime with my g-boys. I can zoom with my Discipleship Group. And I have something to shout about--to really be excited about. I get to attend the Bible Study my son Josh is teaching in California because it is being held on zoom. Yes, I can put grumbling aside. God is good...
When you can't see your G-boys, you have to be creative. Here is the virtual Easter egg hunt I created for them...
Since I can not see my g-boys right now, I'm taking time to make videos for them. In this video, I read one of my favorite art room books, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? by Sam McBratney.
