My world fell apart...

1/9/2016

Class Assignment: Mapping Experiment Peel Projection.
Draw a map of the world on an orange using paint, ink or a marker. Take a picture of your orange. Now carefully peel your orange and take another picture of your orange peel projection. Eat your orange..

For this project I started with an ink pen. The ink didn’t work very well so I switched to markers and paint pens. Below are pictures of my orange "world."
I tried to carefully peel the orange but this orange would not cooperate. Let’s just say my world fell apart (picture on the right). I collected the pieces and began to put them back together. I attempted to arrange them in a cylindrical view but it was obvious that my world would never be the same so I had to make changes. I pinned the continents in place, let go of some of the pieces, and added some new things. My world is different but I like it.
