2018 was a year filled with new adventures. My son Justin married the love of his life, Kellie Ivey. Jordan was the best man and Josh officiated the wedding. Ray and I spent time visiting and exploring New England, the panhandle of Florida, Alabama, and Jacksonville. California was also on our vacation list. That's where we spent time with our son Josh, daughter-in-law Amanda, and our grand baby Theo.
In addition to all of this, I started a new job as a social media content creator with a company called Curicyn. Since I missed teaching, I put together an online summer art camp. A group of us from different parts of the country spent a week creating fun projects together. Finally, the Church of Eleven 22 became our new home church. I joined a Bible study, discipleship group, and the Care Team which involved attending an 8 week course.
With that said, it also has been a year of emotional ups and downs. While moving was a good thing it has also been hard. Jensen Beach had been home for over 38 years. And yes, I've met new friends and have family in Jacksonville, but I miss Martin County and First Baptist Christian School family. Sometimes I don't except change with the best attitude but,I am learning to hand my feelings over to God.
