It was nice to get back in the art studio after missing half our classes last week for Hurricane Matthew. Today 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade artists worked on their crayon resist projects. While some students were still coloring, others began painting with watercolor. Middle school artists drilled, constructed, glued and sanded stands for sculptures they will be making from discarded art supplies. To find out more about these lessons click here and here.
Fifth grade students studied mammals in science this year. To integrate their science with art they chose a mammal, researched it in computer class, and created a watercolor painting of their particular animal. They worked hard and it shows. Great Job!
