Today was filled with progress--a forward or onward movement toward a destination. First I moved toward a destination of healing with my foot. A visit to the orthopedic this morning revealed that the pain I have been experiencing has a name, Morton's neuroma. The prescription--two shots of cortisone and flat shoes with a wide width.
The second forward movement was toward a destination of spiritual growth. It has taken a while to get connected with a Bible study after moving to Jacksonville. Most studies were coming to an end with the holidays approaching. One day I was leaving Fresh Market and happened to see a lady sitting at one of the outside tables reading her Bible. I stopped and talked with her and found out about a Bible study she went to. Today I went to the first study for the new year. It was wonderful to be in a home filled with women that love the Lord!
Finally, I went by the house this afternoon and it was great to see the progress taking place. Ray finished putting up the fence panels and is ready to begin building the gates. Overgrown shrubs have been trimmed and are in the process of being removed. The walls are sanded, prepped, and painting has begun. The fireplace is ready for the stone to be installed. I must say, God is good.
